Buildings left behind on bypassed Main Streets and rural back roads.Vernacular, meaning "of the place", these structures once served as centers of community and commerce. Often built by hand with utility of design, having now acquired the patina of peeling paint, patched roofs and faded signage, these are survivors of another time.
